Breakthrough eco-FRTW Tech for Green Building

T2EARTH® is a science-based manufacturer of sustainable, toxic-chemical free, fire-retardant and superior-performance forest building materials. In 2023, T2EARTH® launched its breakthrough first product, OnWood®, a pressure treated, ICC-certified (ICC Evaluation Service) Class-A fire-retardant-treated wood (FRTW) by ASTM E84 and ASTM E2768 standards.

OnWood® is fully compliant with the 2021 and 2024 International Building Code and the first and only sustainable circular product material option in the Class A, FRTW space (eco-FRTW). OnWood® is in stock and shipping to the construction market, including actively being sold by top building material distributors and used by experienced contractors in leading multifamily, educational housing and commercial projects. T2EARTH® is committed to providing unmatched service levels (comprehensive inventory, expert customer/technical support, custom PET, short lead times and plant-to-jobsite logistics), and leading pro and specialty dealers are rapidly shifting their Class A FRTW needs to OnWood® because of its superior fire and mechanical performance, competitive value and highly differentiated eco-friendly attributes.

OnWood® is currently available in Southern Pine standard dimensional lumber and Precision End Trimmed (PET) sizes, and plywood products are scheduled for launch in the near term. OnWood® is applicable for all interior FRTW use applications and is gaining traction in a wide range of applications that require code-compliant fire retardant, superior product strength and sustainability attributes (multifamily and commercial construction, component manufacturing, etc.).

Traditional chemical pressure treatments not only pose environmental risks but also reduce the mechanical strength properties of the base lumber material in many cases. Disposal of such FRTW materials is tightly regulated and prohibitively costly. During natural disasters like fires and floods, traditional chemical-treated wood releases harmful chemicals, jeopardizing first responders and causing significant cleanup costs. The environmental benefits of T2EARTH®’s eco-friendly, modified wood are significant and contribute to eliminating the need for unsustainable, toxic, chemical treated wood used in residential or commercial construction. In addition to being sourced from sustainably managed American forests (Sustainable Forestry Initiative), OnWood® eco-FRTW products reduce carbon impact, petroleum dependence and exposure of water and wetlands to leaching toxic treatment chemicals.

T2EARTH is committed to changing the paradigm of the treated wood industry to a sustainable built environment, and to accelerating environmentally friendly practices in all facets of the wood business for construction and infrastructure. This vision includes ESG practices and cost reduction in its innovative manufacturing operations and via its current and future superior performance, low cost and sustainable OnWood® product development goals.

Available today, OnWood® contains no toxic chemicals and no heavy metals, thus further eliminating the chances of exposure of ground water and wetlands to hazardous chemicals. The treatment formulation also makes OnWood® a fully circular product that can be recycled or disposed of without customary hazardous chemicals restrictions. T2EARTH uses wood that is sourced from sustainably managed American forests (including Sustainable Forestry Initiative and other responsible forestry practices).
Because T2EARTH is based in the heart of the U.S. Southern Pine region, our key suppliers, our manufacturing operations and our efficient logistics gateways are all in close proximity. We serve our primary markets very efficiently, thereby further reducing our carbon footprint and our costs in our supply chain.

About T2EARTH

T2EARTH is an eco-friendly building materials and wood science technology company formed to create the world’s first suite of sustainable and eco-friendly wood products for residential and commercial construction and infrastructure. After more than five years of ground-breaking R&D and proprietary factory build-out, T2EARTH has emerged from stealth mode into full-scale plant production and commercial operations. These important two milestones are just the beginning of our significant production scale-up and customer attainment journey.

T2EARTH is strategically located and manufactures OnWood® in the Augusta, Georgia, area, in the heart of the United States Southern Pine region. We are partnered with Pollard Lumber Co., Inc., founded in 1952, based in Appling, Georgia, (timberland and saw milling) and International Forest Products LLC, founded in 1972 and based in Foxborough, Massachusetts (forest products trading and global distribution), providing us with an immensely effective vertically integrated supply chain that goes from tree to building site.

About T2EARTH’S Partners

Pollard Lumber Co., Inc.: Pollard Lumber Company, based in Appling, Georgia, and privately owned by the Pollard family, has been manufacturing Southern yellow pine lumber products since 1952. The company’s products are known for outstanding quality and availability, and its distribution is supported by its own logistics and trucking operations.
